The primary objective of Animals Behind Closed Doors is to prise open the doors of the secretive, factory farming industry and in so doing, offer people the opportunity to see for themselves what goes on behind the closed doors of these industrialised animal factories.
Animals Behind Closed Doors was established by animal rights activist and vegan, Gerry Boland, in 2020. A Dubliner by birth and by education, he now lives in rural Roscommon. He gave up eating animals in 1985 and became a vegan ten years later. Before the pandemic, he gave regular talks to secondary schools and colleges on the ethics of eating meat, in particular animal products that come from factory farms.
